College Environmental Research Internship Interest Form

This Fall, our interns will play a vital role in furthering CREEJ’s mission to protect communities and ecosystems through environmental justice research and advocacy in our seven-week virtual program.

Project Focus

Interns will focus on two key environmental topics that are critical to both public health and climate justice:

  • PFAS Contamination (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances)

  • Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions

Purpose of the Research

CREEJ is working to build a comprehensive, state-by-state picture of how PFAS contamination and GHG emissions are affecting communities across the United States. The information gathered will be used to:

  • Raise public awareness

  • Support environmental justice advocacy

  • Highlight disparities in pollution and climate risk

  • Push for policy change at the local, state, and federal levels
